GET STARTED
Your first event draft.
Start with one clear flyer. Check the draft before importing a larger batch.
- Prepare WordPress. Activate The Events Calendar and CalendarDrop. In WordPress Settings → General, select a city timezone, such as Los Angeles, so daylight saving time is handled correctly.
- Connect your account. Sign in here, get a one-time connection code, then paste it into CalendarDrop → Subscription in WordPress. Choose subscription processing. Keep the code private.
- Choose your source. Open CalendarDrop → Upload Flyer. Select an image or PDF up to 4 MB. For Word documents, use a text-based .docx; save a designed document as PDF if its layout or images carry event details. You can also paste up to 30,000 characters of event text on the Subscription page.
- Create drafts. A source can contain several events. One new draft uses one event credit. The service can return up to 30 events from an import. Import smaller batches when your remaining allowance is low.
- Review in Events. Check the event title, start and end date, local time, venue, organizer, price and link against the source. Add missing information yourself. Publish only after review.
If an import needs attention
Credits are awaiting confirmation
WordPress has not confirmed which drafts were created. On CalendarDrop → Subscription, use the completion retry control. Repeating the same import should recover its existing result. Avoid changing the source or creating a new account to force a retry.
No events were found
Check that the source gives an event date and readable details. An empty result does not use event credits. AI can miss information, so inspect the source and try a clearer version rather than repeatedly sending the same file.
Processing is paused for review
Processing limits are separate from event credits. Repeated failed attempts or many results reported as duplicates can pause new processing. Existing drafts and unused credits stay in place. Contact support with the error code and time of the import.
The details are wrong
Edit the draft in WordPress before publishing it. For a recurring error, send a description of the problem to support. Do not email API keys, connection codes, passwords or confidential source documents.
I want to cancel
Open My account → Manage billing. Check the cancellation date shown there. Existing WordPress drafts remain on your site. The free plugin can continue using your own provider key.
